Busy Busy Busy!!!
By Mommy24-7 | December 6, 2007
Wow, did anyone see November? Apparently I missed it! Halloween seems like it was a year ago…it went great, fun time had by all
November was busy with this and that. Thanksgiving in NY with relatives… nice to relax and hang out. It was a really nice day weather wise…went to the beach! R had a great time entertaining and being entertained.
A friend of ours visited for a few days and that was fun for everyone. She has a great time with R and we all got really silly with Guitar Hero! I was sick during the whole visit, so I was bleh, trying to keep up. Doritos and cheap wine…ah memories of the younger days! My friend is my age but single so I just feel a TON older and she brings back my young side. We watched Jovi in concert and one of his movies…interesting! We both fell asleep
I have some new Pampered Chef products that have brought me enjoyment. Ah the little things….
Christmas is coming and *I* am getting fat…. LOL, lame, sorry the song came into my head as I wrote it. We’ve had our tree up since the Sat. after Thanksgiving and there are some gifts under it. Some in the basement and tons still in stores just waiting for us to come and take them home! I try so hard to be thrifty but it’s hard when you want it all for your child. She needs NOTHING. But there’s so much fun/interesting/educational stuff out there! She’ll be 3 in 2 months but I’m looking at stuff for older kids since most things for her age just don’t fit her. I got her so many educational/learning books…she’ll love them though, so I know I’m not getting her boring gifts. I really want to get her this bouncy thing we saw at KB in the summer. They had it set up in the store then and she loved it…saw it in the box last month…it’s not outrageously expensive but not cheap. It’s not HUGE but too big for our house I suppose. I would love to have it for all these days we sit inside. Sure we run around and around chasing each other and dance etc, but she loved that bouncy thing and we could throw her ball pit balls in there too since we threw that out. (it doubled as the pool and had seen better days) It would probably be smarter to buy another pool/pit since that was only $10. But the bouncy thing has “walls” so it would contain the balls. Hmmm, just thinking.
Last year she wanted a hippopotamus for Christmas (guess where she picked that one up… LOL). This year she wants a Mommy and Daddy for that hippo and some Moon Sand. She’s asked Santa for that. Speaking of the big man…she had a lengthy conversation with him last Friday…it was so cute. They were just talking and talking. It was nice there was no line because I think she would have kept going regardless. She can’t wait to go back and see him again.
Most exciting news is that my brother will be “home” for Christmas!! He lives out west so we only see him about once a year and not for Christmas in years. AND he’s bringing his fiance and her mom!! My parents have been out to visit and love them but I haven’t met them yet so it’s going to be so much fun to meet them and have everyone here for Christmas!
I’ve gotten myself into a bad sleep pattern again… 4a, 3a…. 2a last night so as I’m about to go to bed now at 130a I’m doing well! R’s still having sleep issues, but she’s not to blame for mine really. Her and B are fast asleep. I picked up a book at the library today… to help get R in a better sleep pattern…I read it in her room while she was falling asleep… *I* couldn’t keep my eyes open!! I literally fell asleep 2-3 times while sitting there. Should have gone to bed then but had other things to get done.
Tomorrow I’ll shoot for midnight!

I don’t bring BACK your young side - I just bring it OUT. It’s still in you!
And, you bring out my silly side, too… Guitar Hero…woo hoo!
