My baby’s a preschooler!

This post is long overdue. R started preschool a week ago today!! She only goes for 1.5 hours 2 days a week but it’s a big step! She LOVES it!! I am so proud of her. I really thought she’d love it but with every situation, you never know. Her teacher’s say she does a running commentary of everything she’s doing 
She does that all the time, so it’s not news, but funny to hear that she did it at school too. I went to preschool when I was two…I didn’t like it at all and have heard the story over the years of how I begged my mom to keep me home with her. I’m so glad R’s not following in my footsteps on this one!
On her first day, B and I went with her and they had the parent orientation. After our meeting the teachers brought the kids to the parents and she went to the front of the meeting room and sat in the director’s chair. They said she would be the next Oprah…lol. There were only 3 kids including her but by the next class, one dropped out and another was added…so back to three. On her second day I dropped her off with no problem and went to a local craft store and got some crafty things to do with her in the future. Today was her third day. I came home to get things done around the house. I only have about 50min. after driving time, but I think I’ll eventually be able to get things organized around here. It’s nice to have some ME time although I wasn’t relaxing…YET! Today there were only 2 kids including her again. She’s having a great time but it would be nice if there were more kids. She’s made 2 pictures so far (painting) and is playing inside and out and getting a snack and story etc every time. I’m glad we all like her preschool. She’s growing up. Sniff sniff.
