We’re always getting lost!

By Mommy24-7 | September 23, 2007

Okay…when that statement comes from the backseat, from the 2.5 year old…you know it’s time for a GPS!! Little Miss Chatterbox was going on and on about how we went the wrong way today etc…and then that’s what she said “We’re always getting lost!” B and I were rolling with laughter. Of course, he was driving so it was even funnier to me. We were 2 minutes from home. There are shortcuts that we’ve taken to get to different places…he’s taken them, but I do it a lot more often. I had a bad headache so I had my eyes closed for 20 seconds and when I opened them I looked around and said “where are we?” LOL. He had completely passed the road we should have taken etc… and decided to just go with it and take the LONG way to the shortcut :) R liked that. He already knows this, so I don’t have to hide the fact that HE IS GETTING A GPS FOR CHRISTMAS!!

Well, other then the getting lost a mile from home, we had a great day despite the fact I had the beginnnings of a migraine all day. Not fun. We visited a cute little village with shops, horse drawn rides, yummy apple cider and good food. R decorated a gingerbread cookie… and then I helped her eat it :) We got her the cutest little mug with her initial on it for upcoming hot cocoa enjoyment. They also had a playground with a very nice house on the top, ladder, slide, bench swings, choo choo…fun. It was HOT out today. After the recent crispy cool fall weather, it was kind of shocking. How soon we get used to the cooler weather! We passed the local amusement park and saw people in the water park… thinking of going tomorrow, especially if it’s as hot as today!
