Aches and pains…

By Mommy24-7 | September 12, 2007

Lately, I’ve been having an issue with my left ear… thing is, it’s only a problem, HONESTLY, when my husband is talking to the left of me!! Ok, so I tested it out today with R and had her talking and at ONE time it did the “thing” it does when B is talking…otherwise, it’s all him. It’s a thumping/throbbing spastic annoyance! R and I went to the doc today to see if I could get any answers. Good news is, my ears look fine, and my hearing is great! They gave me one of those hearing tests you take in school :) Doc chalked it up to some sort of ear/nose temporary issue and gave me some nasal spray and we’ll see after a week. It’s so bad when we sit at night, me on my end of the couch and him on his end (to my left). And no, we can’t switch:) So, I’m hoping for some relief or I’ll be off to more docs.

Also… there’s a new session of classes at my gym… so I (who hasn’t stepped foot in the gym since July except to get the class info last week) went to a class tonight!! I really wanted to take a Pilate’s class as I’ve heard all good things about it and it’s endorsed by my future sil who will also be teaching it in the future (not anywhere near me unfortunately). R’s big social calendar however, prevents me from taking any classes except this one tonight. Her schedule won’t allow her to take a swimming class either which I really wanted to get her into. We’ll just visit the pool when possible until next session…or the next…

My class tonight was “Flat Abs” Oh my…how I long to use that term in a description of myself!!! Anyway, it was quite comical trying to maneuver myself on the exercise ball. Before tonight, I had only used one as a tool while in labor…LOL…so it was quite different.  At least I was not alone, there was a mix of women in the class…many who could do the hard stuff and a few, who like me, where laughing and trying to do different exercises with all of our might. Either I was totally feeling pain (who knew I had muscles under there), feeling nothing (probably doing it wrong) or having to stop because my lower back pain (as recommended by the instructer prior to class). I’m definitely signing up… it’s obvious I need it. I’m also planning on getting back to a routine in my strength training and cardio. I WAS doing well, that ended in July. I need schedules. If it’s not planned, I most likely won’t make it. Either I’ll find something to fill the time or forget completely.

Anyway…SKINNY ME will be making a comeback!
